Jennie-O Turkey Store - 1st Shift Line Attendant - Barron, WI

Hourly pay rate for this position: Hire $22.35, 6 months $22.92, 1 year $23.87

• Job Responsibilities
• 1. Assist in the training of new employees, maintain training records & documentation necessary
• 2. Lead person is responsible to learn all the graded positions in the department
• 3. Work with new employees on specific skills for the graded positions within the department
• 4. Provide new employees with exemplary work behavior including attendance, safety & personal hygiene
• 5. Administer directions for the proper care & use of personal protective equipment
• 6. Provide instructions to all trainees on HACCP, SSOP and department rules
• 7. Communicate to the supervisor as to the progress of the employees
• 8. Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as required by the supervisor
• Minimum Qualifications
• Good verbal and written communication
• Basic math skills
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to do or learn all jobs in the department
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Knowledge of department products 
• Material Handling license required, or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Experience or ability to learn shop floor and data entry positions
• No performance work actions in the last 6 months
• No attendance work actions in the last 6 months

Preferred Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Training experience, First Aid/CPR certified
* Actively involved in a department safety and/or quality committee
* Excellent problem-solving skills and public speaking ability
* Working knowledge of all scale Operator and line jobs
* Prior RTE experience
* Trained in RTE Food Safety Training
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
