What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Video Editor to support the university’s online graduate programs and the online components of other courses with new video content and other ongoing video support. The Experiential Learning team is evolving and looking to break new ground in video engagement in higher education, to make already great programs even more compelling. The Video Editor is a driving force in visual storytelling, pushing the boundaries of how higher learning is expressed in video. An Associate’s degree and four years of relevant work experience are required. A Bachelor’s degree and six years of relevant work experience are preferred. 

A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. 

*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. 

What You Will Do

  • Edit and finish video content in the Adobe Creative Suite with a high degree of polish, clarity, and brand alignment including color correction/grading, titling, sound design/mix, closed captioning where applicable, encoding, delivery to end user
  • Archive assets and output post production reports and maintaining an organized asset system
  • Design and animate custom motion graphics packages and lower thirds in After Effects in line with the Baylor brand guidelines, yet giving each college its own tonal mark of distinction
  • Design and create a library of MOGRTS for department use to expand our repertoire
  • Collaborate with Executive Producer, Production Coordinator, and videographers to bring concepts to life visually
  • Research, follow, and experiment with ever-changing trends in AI techniques and uses. Inform the dialogue for ethical and responsible use of AI in departmental work
  • Occasionally assist on set with camera, sound, lighting, or control room positions when needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
  • Ability to comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
