ABOUT US
The Baylor Experience and Admissions Representatives (BEARs) are a select group of students who work with Baylor Undergraduate Admissions. BEARs go above and beyond to serve guests and ultimately display the values and character of the Baylor family. These students share their Baylor experience with prospective students, parents, and other university guests in order to facilitate and enhance student recruitment for Baylor University. BEARs will work out of the Hurd Welcome Center. BEARs are paid $10 an hour and there are opportunities for raises and leadership roles. Work schedules are flexible and built around your class schedule and availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES
BEARs are involved in several recruitment and enrollment activities hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and our campus partners: the most important being our daily campus tours.  Other activities include but are not limited to welcoming families to Baylor, checking in prospective students for their tour or events on campus, giving and driving tours, printing lanyards, mingling with guests, cleaning the office and shuttles, recruiting athletes and working though files and inquires on Slate (the Admissions database).  To be able to accomplish these tasks efficiently and effectively, new BEARs, known as CUBs, are trained and peer-mentored by current representatives and professional staff on subjects ranging from admissions and enrollment, residence life, student involvement opportunities, academics, athletics and more.

MINIMUM EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

In addition, candidates must meet the following requirements:
1.   Be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credit hours minimum) at Baylor University.
