Duties:
• Perform MIG and TIG welding of carbon and stainless steels from 20GA to ½”.
• Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with ASME codes & standards.
• Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials and finished products.
• Perform rigging tasks as needed during the fabrication process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area to ensure compliance with company and OSHA requirements and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Key Requirements:
• Expertise in welding fine gauge materials with precision and visual appeal.
• TIG welding capabilities with a foundational understanding of MIG welding processes.
• Proficiency in mathematics and adeptness in operating various shop machinery.
• Capability to interpret complex blueprints and related machine operation documents.
• A mindset geared towards continuous process improvement, keen on redefining and implementing efficient methods.
• Commendable time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Good interpersonal skills complementing solid communication capabilities.
• Basic understanding of computer operations and handling inspection gauges.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in welding and fabrication within construction or manufacturing settings.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques with a strong understanding of welding processes.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
• Experience using basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely is required.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Education, Skills & Desired Attributes:
• The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, equipment maintenance and repair experience, a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment, be 18 years of age or older and be legally eligible to work in the US.
• Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills, proven commitment to work and a dedication to safety are required. Welding and fabrication skills are expected and the candidate must be a self-directed person.
• Positive, team-oriented individual who has a strong work ethic, is committed to safety, customer driven, open to personal and professional training and development, and results-oriented with the ability to see the larger picture while focusing on detailed information.
