This position is a member of our Information Resources Division.
Here’S What You’Ll Be Doing
- Supervise and provide technical guidance on IT administration for the Information Resources Division (IRD) of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
- Supervise the development and delivery of enterprise IT services. Adapt team roles, responsibilities, and processes to effectively meet agency goals.
- Administer human resources management functions, including hiring, performance management, and staff development.
- Manage daily task assignments to meet team deliverables.
- Communicate/Interface with management and other technical teams, including outsourced IT services providers, to ensure enterprise-level service needs are anticipated and met. Chair/Participate on technical committees and review boards as required.
Qualifications
Key Qualifications
- Experience as a work lead, supervisor, or project manager of technical personnel.
- Experience planning, implementing, and maintaining application environments in a development-test-production cycle.
- Experience preparing IT proposals, project plans, and/or user/administrator documentation.
- Experience managing and administering networked authentication services.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Experience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment.
OR
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.

WORK SCHEDULE
Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Houston Region Office.
