Job Summary:

This part-time (0.25 FTE) faculty position is in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy of the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS). The primary responsibility of this position is to provide pharmacy-level support for development of direct patient care services. This position will interface with various community pharmacy partners and individualize the support based on each pharmacy’s need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with community pharmacies to implement direct patient care services including:
  • Self-monitoring blood pressure (SMBP)
  • Diabetes self-management education (DSMES)
  • National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP)
  • Information sharing between pharmacies and medical offices
  • Establishing relationships with community leaders to promote services
  • Establish Continuing Education programs to train community pharmacists in specific areas
  • Participate in trainings specific to community pharmacy services (including programs and billing)
  • Self-monitoring blood pressure (SMBP)
  • Diabetes self-management education (DSMES)
  • National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP)
  • Information sharing between pharmacies and medical offices
  • Establishing relationships with community leaders to promote services

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule. Days per week on campus will be determined as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Colorado.
  • One (1) year of previous clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of experience coordinating with community pharmacies.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$22,645 - $27,645

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
