As a Senior Product Associate on the Money Transfers team, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a cross-functional leader to collaborate with design, engineering and line of business teams to drive new product initiatives
- Develop products and services that deliver innovative experiences and at the same time remove friction from the banking process
- Document product requirements, and communicate these requirements to the development team for the design and implementation of business solutions
- Define new product feature epics and stories to ensure delivery of product roadmap
- Identify, assess, and record near-term business needs, recommending business priorities, and advising businesses on options, risks, and costs versus benefits
- Create concise, compelling content and business case to present and sell concepts through to senior management.
- Understand and appreciate the complex systemic dependencies between front-end, middleware, databases and mainframes
- Work with the Quality Management team to ensure that requirements documentation can be easily translated into test plans, and that testing plans have been complete
- Manage day to day individual workload, monitoring milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of schedule and identify / mitigate risk
- Integrate data analytics, product metrics, user experience research, competitive and market analysis, and company goals to drive prioritization of product initiatives
- Track and analyze metrics compared to industry benchmarks, publish reports on product performance, trends and risks/opportunities for both short and long term
- Coordinate backlog for defect resolution; Provide clear vision and scope documentation, use cases, workflows, wire-frames, and requirements to support development
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Must be proactive, results driven and have a proven track record of execution
- Ability to prioritize projects and efforts according to business need and industry trends
- Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
- Experience with business requirements gathering and software development methodologies - agile is a plus
- Structured thinker with effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines and calmness under pressure
- 3-5 years’ experience related to online and mobile product development
- Strong knowledge of current digital banking trends
- Ability to build high-level mocks for concept sharing for prototype phase
- Analytical with a focus on objectives and key results
- Solution design experience preferred but not required
- Financial services preferred but not required
