Senior Project Manager | Power Gen

The Role

Take charge of a high-impact leadership role in Queensland’s energy sector. Based in Central Queensland and operating from our Gladstone Regional Office, you’ll lead the delivery of critical power station major maintenance works across outage, overhaul, and capital projects. 

You will lead dedicated planning and delivery teams and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders including technical staff, engineering, senior leaders, and managing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, both upstream and downstream. Your emphasis will be on delivering excellent results, collaborating with stakeholders, and promoting a culture of Zero Harm.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of outage/projects, including planning, mobilisation, delivery and reporting
• Manage financial performance, subcontractors, procurement, and contract compliance
• Champion Zero Harm by embedding a safety-first culture across all activities
• Lead, motivate and mentor multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality outcomes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with our valued client and internal stakeholders

About You

You’re a confident leader with a strong background in project delivery within the power generation or heavy industry sectors. You bring commercial acumen, people leadership, and a commitment to Zero Harm. With a hands-on approach and sharp decision-making skills, you're ready to drive performance in high-paced, short-duration campaigns.

• A tertiary or trade qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the industry. 
• Proven experience in delivering projects within power generation, heavy industry, or other high-risk environments. 
• Strong leadership abilities, emphasising safety, performance, and team development. 
• Solid commercial acumen, with a demonstrated ability to manage budgets, subcontractors, and procurement processes.
