We are looking for a passionate and driven Mental Health Team Manager to lead our frontline mental health team. 
You will have operational and leadership responsibility for a team of 6–8 staff, ensuring the delivery of statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 2007 (Part 3), and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
You will: 
•    Lead, support and develop a high-performing team to deliver person-centred, culturally appropriate services. 
•    Ensure effective allocation of work, safeguarding practice, and strong quality assurance systems. 
•    Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring best value and compliance with statutory duties. 
•    Work collaboratively with colleagues across Adult Social Care, Housing, Children’s Services and with key partners including the NHS, voluntary sector, and the Metropolitan Police. 
•    Act as a role model, promoting Brent’s values and championing innovation, integration and service improvement.

  • We are seeking a registered social worker with:
  •     Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) or Best Interests Assessor status.
  •     Substantial post-qualifying experience in adult mental health practice and management.
  •     Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage people, budgets, and performance in a complex environment.
  •     A deep understanding of the legislative framework underpinning adult social care and mental health services.
  •     Excellent partnership working, communication, and problem-solving skills.
