The remuneration range for this role is $80,369 to 113,462 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience

The Opportunity

Are you detail-oriented with a knack for asking the right questions? We’re seeking a dedicated Water Compliance Auditor to join our team. In this key role, you will carry out assurance activities, including audits, to ensure that our systems, resources, and controls are effectively supporting our water management objectives. Your insights will help build confidence that our operations adhere to relevant standards and regulations, ultimately ensuring the safety, sustainability, and compliance of our water services.

You Will Get To:

  • Undertake internal quality assurance audits and performance against relevant legislation
  • Identify non-compliance issues and recommend improvements
  • Undertake site assessments and inspections to audit our environmental compliance
  • Work with operational managers to develop tools and processes to effectively monitor resource consent compliance
  • Support source water risk management plans
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships with staff across Wellington Water to facilitate effective quality assurance programmes

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in environmental, engineering, natural sciences, environmental planning, or other relevant degrees
  • Experience in auditing or compliance
  • An understanding of the legislative and regulatory compliance environment
  • Awareness of management systems like ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 14001
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills
