Turquoise Ridge - Safety Engagement Team Lead

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Safety Engagement Team Leader at our Turquoise Ridge operations. The successful candidate will provide direct support to the teams with data entry, record management, scheduling, inventory management, and more!

Responsibilities:

• Lead the In Reach Engagement Team on their mission to increase peer to peer engagement that will promote courageous safety leadership and positively influence a culture aligned with our Barrick DNA values.
• Exhibit leadership by engaging with peers to establish safety topics and areas of interest to continually improve work areas and promote a culture of safety excellence.
• To communicate with all Engagement Team members and recruit to fill vacancies as needed.
• Coordinate and facilitate bi-monthly team meetings for all Engagement Team members to attend.
• Coordinate monthly on-site engagement, audits, or inspections.
• Assist with Employee Safety Suggestion program, Near Miss reporting and other various site-wide safety initiatives.
• Interact and engage with workforce to support safety & health initiatives and programs.
• Plan and execute employee appreciation and engagement activities. 
• Collaborate with Safety and Health, supervision, and upper management on the implementation of safety programs and topics.
• Perform various duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills required
• Strong and proven computer skills in Microsoft Office, Power Point, Etc.. required
• Ability to work independently to manage multiple complex systems and tasks required
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
• One (1) year experience in the mining industry preferred
