What You’Ll Do:
- Follow up and coordinate with OEM/ other support vendors for patch deployment.
- Plan “Schedule shutdown of production system”, if required, and inform users proactively and implement the patch upgrades immediately
- Shall obtain the necessary approval from the Customer for downtime, if required, for the patches or upgrades implementation
- Installing and testing the OS/ patches and upgrades in the test and productions environment.
- Coordination for delivery/ deployment/discovery of agents/endpoints and installation of new follow up and coordinate with OEM/ other support vendors for patch deployment.
- Plan “Schedule shutdown of production system”, if required, and inform users proactively and implement the patch upgrades immediately
- Shall obtain the necessary approval from the Customer for downtime, if required, for the patches or upgrades implementation
- Installing and testing the OS/ patches and upgrades in the test and productions environment.
- Coordination for delivery/ deployment/discovery of agents/endpoints and installation of new hardware, software and necessary licenses in stipulated period
- Shall be responsible for providing the timely resolution of the OS related issue raised by the Customer
- Installing and test desktop software applications running in the Customer environment and configuration of internet browsers for running Customer applications
- To identify and assess real risks from the vulnerabilities spread across the network with the help of proposed solution and remove /uninstall the vulnerable applications /software from endpoint using native feature of proposed application. If uninstaller is not available in the proposed solution, remove the vulnerable software using custom scripts
- ensure that the systems shall be patched on N-1 Level
- provide a tracker for Unsupported OS for endpoints & servers (RHEL, Windows etc).
- Patching of RHEL, Windows and centos
- Ensure enterprise-wide patching & associated hardening for all servers and Desktops.
- prepare a patching calendar for enterprise-wide servers, desktops & network devices as per the frequency of the patch released by the OEM team
- create and deploy the golden image of operating system for endpoints/servers and timely update the golden image
Added Advantages: must know the different OS Flavors, Patching Architecture, Patch management Process, OS Updates, Upgrade knowledge, must be able to handle 20000+ end points, DC, DR Enterprise environment
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server patching.
- Hands-on experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central or similar patch management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Endpoint Central, including server-agent communication and deployment errors.
- Experience with compliance reporting and audit preparation
What You Will Bring:
- Should be Science Graduate (IT/ Computer), preferably, BE/B. Tech/MCA with minimum 3 years of Windows, Virtualization, Ubuntu, Solutions and minimum 5 years’ total experience in the field of IT implementation / support of related solutions.
- Should be certified in 2 of the following certifications:
- MCSA/ RHCSA/RHCE/CISA/ Azure 800, 801
- Mandatory knowledge & Experience (3 year out of overall 5 years) in
- Manage Engine, End Point Patching/ EPC Solution
