This role is based at our DNV office in Dublin, OH, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.
What You’Ll Do:
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of corrosion control programs aimed at mitigating both external and internal corrosion in pipelines and associated infrastructure.
- Perform corrosion risk assessments by examining environmental and operational factors, material characteristics, and historical records to support mitigation planning.
- Participate in root cause analyses of pipeline corrosion incidents and help formulate corrective actions and long-term prevention plans.
- Conduct field activities such as pipeline coupon retrieval, corrosion surveys, and inspection of protective systems to assess integrity and performance.
- Perform laboratory-based corrosion testing, including analysis of field samples using weight loss methods, microscopy, and electrochemical techniques.
- Engage in the selection and refinement of corrosion mitigation strategies, including cathodic protection systems, coatings, and chemical inhibitors.
- Interpret data from inline inspection tools, coupon testing, and lab measurements to evaluate pipeline integrity and corrosion progression.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to prepare technical reports, develop client presentations, and deliver actionable recommendations based on field and lab findings.

What Is Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, or related).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively collaborate within team environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
- We conduct pre-employment background and drug screening, as well as random drug screening to meet Department of Transportation (DOT) requirement
What Is Preferred:
- Experience with PowerBI or Power Apps.
- AMPP CP1 certification or interest in pursuing it.
- Familiarity of GIS tools for mapping pipeline data.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or SolidWorks).
- Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for data analysis or modeling.
