The Data & AI Security marketing team is accountable for the success of our Data Security (Microsoft Purview) and our Security for AI business with direct accountability for all aspects of product marketing.
As the Director, Data & AI Security Marketing focused on business operations and strategy, you will report directly to the Vice President of Data & AI Security marketing and serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic clarity and across Data & AI Security and for driving alignment on our roadmap, orchestrating the rhythm of business (ROB), and leading strategy and planning initiatives.

Responsibilities
Data And Ai Security Roadmap Alignment
- Drive operational excellence and craft roadmap content for all Data & AI security innovations
- Deliver prioritized and coherent innovation themes to support overall public narratives
- Bring deep customer understanding to prioritize what matters most to different audiences
- Maximize opportunities to showcase our innovation agenda working with our communications, narrative, and events teams
- Track roadmap changes and ensure accountability for managing downstream impact.
Business Operations & Rhythm Of Business
- Foster a culture of curiosity, focus on outcomes and last-mile acumen to drive impact.
- Drive a predictable and effective ROB, including MBRs and roadmap reviews.
- Own communications, calendaring, and planning with clear actions and due dates.
- Maintain a centralized Teams site for shared assets, templates, and best practices.
Business Strategy And Planning
- Lead and steer strategic initiatives which drive clarity into market landscape trends/shifts, business or revenue opportunities, or product strategy
- Drive all team strategy and planning initiatives for full year and half year planning milestones

This role is a fantastic opportunity to quickly get immersed in the security space, and to understand the challenges of customers of all sizes, and of the security industry. It offers solid connection with many different marketers across the team, and an elevated perspective to understand how to take raw technology delivery and turn it into communications and audience experience working with partner teams in the broader Microsoft Security marketing organization.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years experience in enterprise product marketing in cybersecurity, AI or a related domain.
- Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years marketing or sales experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
