We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Product Manager - Copilot Notebooks to join our team and define the next generation of Notebook experiences. 

In this role, you will be working on Copilot Notebooks, an innovative AI-native space designed to help users manage their information, build insights, and turn them directly into action.

At its core, Copilot Notebooks is the space where users can effortlessly gather and collect heterogeneous information from anywhere, and with Copilot's help generate insights and new artifacts like audio or presentations to turn information/content into knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Copilot Notebooks, while defining AI-first features to proactively enhance productivity and creativity for millions of OneNote and M365 users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including applied sciences, engineering, design, and marketing, to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
  • Analyze user feedback and data to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Ensure the successful launch and adoption of new features, providing ongoing support and updates.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of product management experience.
  • 3+ years experience in AI-first product development, including defining and documenting datasets, user queries, and contextual signals required for successful AI-driven interactions.
  • 3+ years experience in designing and executing EVALs, ensuring that new AI features meet or exceed benchmarks.
  • 6+ years experience in leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, specifically cross-organization collaboration.
  • 6+ years experience leading strategic initiatives and driving complex projects to completion.
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
  • 6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
  • OR equivalent experience.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
