Job Overview:

As the Hourly Manager, Logistics (HML) you are the player-peer coach working with your team to deliver company standards for all inbound/outbound merchandise. You are a multi-purpose partner supporting merchandise handling and support functions that augment the customer experience and drive productivity; ensuring the customer is first always. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:
Build Together
- Working side by side with the team; lead by example, providing regular feedback to receiving colleagues; coaching behaviors and using performance management tools to drive results.
- Teach team about all processing policies, standards, procedures, equipment usage, and safety criteria.
- Recognize performance above standard and celebrate with the individual and the team.
- Promote an open door to welcome concerns from coworkers from all levels and positions.
- Source, interview and hire colleagues for their area to build a high functioning team.
- Ensure that all newly hired support colleagues successfully complete all new hire training and orientation and are transitioned into Bloomingdale’s culture.
Make Things Happen
- Use workload projection tools (Pipeline) daily to plan workload completion in advance, and plan movement of staff to concentrate on the unit volume.
- Drive merchandise security standards, all inbound/outbound receiving and merchandise Best Practices and achieve productivity compliance.
- Achieve company compliance standards in all logistics metrics, including Fed Ticket, Return to Vendor (RTV), job out, and transfers.
- Ensure a clean, well-maintained and safe environment by following all Dock/Workplace processing standards, maintenance of receiving dock equipment and store safety standards.
- Partner with Leadership team to maintain daily stockroom standards/safe environment.
- Ensure excellence in presentation, replenishment and markdown execution.
- Participate in seasonal shortage reduction strategies, shortage meetings and seasonal awareness weeks.
- Participate in inventory execution in areas of responsibility.
- Execute all Receiving and Processing Audit standards.
- Partner with the Visual Merchandising Team to participate in Markdowns, Jobouts, RTV, etc. when the workload dictates. Address areas of non-compliance.
- Appropriately schedule self and staff to stay within budgeted hours.

- Use a sales-floor-first mentality to execute and deliver markdown completion standards.

- Actively participate in weekly Workload Planning meeting/Big Day Strategy development.
- Develop collaborative relationships with the store leadership team; understanding and delivering on all store goals and plans.
- Develop education for selling colleagues on key aspects of receiving in store.
Qualifications And Competencies:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years related experience.
Communication Skills:
- Able to easily engage in conversation.
- Social ease and quick response to customer needs and inquiries.
- Able to maintain composure in difficult situations.
- Detailed oriented about product knowledge.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers, peers and management.
Mathematical Skills:
- Basic math functions to operate register, handle money and make change.

- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a learning environment.
Physical Demands:
- This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
- May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
