Position Summary:
The CSC (Coordinated Specialty Care) Program Supervisor oversees two multidisciplinary teams providing services to individuals experiencing First Episode Psychosis (FEP). This leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality, client-centered care by supervising Team Leaders, Education/Employment Specialists, Recovery Coaches, Outreach Specialists, and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors. The Program Supervisor is responsible for guiding team members, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that treatment plans are implemented effectively, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for clients.
Program Description
The CSC (Coordinated Specialty Care) Early Psychosis Program is a specialized treatment approach designed to help individuals who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis. The goal of the program is to provide comprehensive, team-based care that addresses the various needs of young people (typically ages 16-30) who have recently experienced symptoms of psychosis. The program is aimed at improving long-term outcomes and minimizing the impact of psychosis on the individual's life.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide ongoing support to a diverse team of clinical and non-clinical staff, including Team Leaders, Education/Employment Specialists, Recovery Coaches, Outreach Specialists, and SUD Counselors.
- Conduct regular individual and team supervision sessions to ensure staff are performing effectively and are supported in their professional development.
- Foster a collaborative, client-centered environment among team members, ensuring a holistic approach to care that integrates treatment, education, employment, and recovery support.
- Provide guidance and support to staff members on clinical practices, treatment interventions, family engagement, and other relevant topics.
- Work closely with Team Leaders to ensure that client and family engagement strategies are effective, culturally competent, and client-centered.
- Participate in key case meetings, offering guidance and support as needed to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for clients and families.
- Ensure that the program is responsive to the unique needs of clients, particularly those who may face additional barriers such as housing instability, substance use, or co-occurring mental health issues.
Requirements
General Requirements:
- Education/Experience
- Current licensure in a relevant field (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within mental health, social services, or a related field. Experience in working with adolescents and young adult.
- Familiarity with Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) models or similar evidence-based treatment approaches for psychosis is a plus.
Licensure, Registration, Certification
- Valid CA driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
- Completion of CPR/First Aid certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle without restrictions, often in heavy traffic and frequently long distances (one hour or more) to ensure safe transport to client settings and to safely transport clients to appointments as needed.
- Senses of vision, hearing and smell sufficient to regularly operate a motor vehicle, to visualize threats in the environment or risks to clients, and to operate safely in the field.
- Required to occasionally lift and carry 10-20 pounds.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, climb stairs (1 or more flights) and walk while in route to and during family visits.
- Regularly required to sit and use computer in office settings.
