Nemours is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Casual/PRN) to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, Delaware.

This position is responsible for performing Nuclear Medicine and Bone Densitometry imaging studies while providing a quality health care service that includes total patient care in a comfortable, friendly environment.  Excellent communication skills are essential to this position due to required continuous interaction with public and professional, medical personnel. Responsible for participation in departmental and hospital programs for quality assessment and improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with Nemours goals. 

  • Knowledge of  Nuclear Medicine and DEXA  protocols, Radiation Safety and  working knowledge of all Nuclear Medicine and DEXA equipment.
  • Responsible for patient identification, proper identification of all images, PACS interaction and documentation.
  • Must have the ability to work well with others, acts as a team member.  Ability to work independently and engage in critical thinking to improve the quality of care.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Good Communication skills are required. In addition to accepting feedback, asking questions and active communication with counterparts and all departments.
  • Aid in training of new personnel and students.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of AMA Nuclear Medicine Technology Program required.
  • Minimum of 3 months experience required.  New graduates are welcome (Must complete on the job training for DXA and/or CT).
  • State of Delaware Nuclear Medicine Technology License required within 90 days of hire.
  • ARRT (N) or CNMT certified or eligible (required within 90 days of hire).
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire.
  • Preferred:  ARRT (limited scope bone dense) certified; DE state licensure for Bone Densitometry; CT certified; DE state licensure for CT.
