The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority.

Position Summary: The DCCC Internship Program offers an invaluable opportunity to engage with national-level campaign style politics. Interns will gain insight into the operations of a national political committee and contribute to House Democratic campaigns.

The Spring Internship Program is a 13-week internship beginning Tuesday, January 20, 2026 and ends on Friday, April 10, 2026. Applicants can choose between full-time or part-time internships, and school credit is available upon request.

Accepted applicants are expected to be available for the entire program duration, with exceptions made only for emergencies, due to the program's short duration.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform department specific tasks which may include staffing events, conducting research, making Capitol Hill runs, and assisting with short and long term projects.
  • Assist the Operations team by providing excellent customer service and maintaining shared spaces.
  • Support other departments as needed at the direction of the department supervisor or Operations team.

Requirements

  •  Committed to helping Democrats win the House majority. 
  • At least 18 years old on or before the first day of the internship.
  • Ability to relocate to the DC-metro area prior to the first day.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence, the awareness knowledge and skills needed to work effectively with others who are culturally different.

Details:

Full-Time interns are required to work between 21-40 hours per week, receiving a weekly stipend of $700.00. Part-Time interns must commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week and will earn a weekly stipend of $350.00.
