The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time (40 hours/week) Research Assistant for the Process-Oriented Intervention Science (POIS) Lab at the University of Louisville. The position primarily involves assisting with research studies centered around personalized approaches to psychological treatment.
Specific duties include managing study logistics (e.g., participant recruitment, participant scheduling, data collection, IRB submissions); conducting study screening and assessments; maintaining research databases; assisting with lab administrative tasks; maintaining the day-to-day functioning of the lab; supervising undergraduate and graduate assistants; purchasing supplies; and other general organizational activities.
The Research Coordinator will work closely with the Director of the POIS Lab, Dr. Clarissa Ong. Opportunities for involvement in publications and presentations at national conferences are available. This position is most suited for someone interested in attending graduate school in clinical/counseling psychology. This is a 1-year position with potential for renewal, depending on funding and work performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology
- At least 1 year of psychology research experience
- Ability to program studies on REDCap, including surveys and longitudinal assessment
- Experience working with study participants, especially from clinical populations
