The Automation System Specialist IV position responsibilities include operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of pneumatic, electric, electronic and direct digital controls for building HVAC systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Design, implement, manage, test & commission building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems (EMS).
- Manage Building Automation System and Energy management System employees with hiring, performance evaluations, and training
- Manage contractor specifications, problems/issues, performance, and administration.
- Assist in the acceptance phase of commissioning construction projects.
- Troubleshoot possible issues, including identifying and debugging software, electrical or pneumatic, and installation problems with BAS and EMS.
- Generate reports and recommendations on the performance, condition, operation, and maintenance of building equipment and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with installation, programming, start-up, commissioning, integration, troubleshooting, and repair of one or more direct digital control systems such as Siemens, Apogee, Schneider Electric I/A Series, Tridium Niagara R2, etc.
- Experience generating web-based graphics, alarms, trend,s and other automated reports. Experience configuring and integrating various manufacturer graphical user interfaces, network-level controllers and field-level controllers using BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus and proprietary protocols.
- Possesses strong computer skills with Excel, Visio, Word and strong interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills.
- CEM or LEED AP
- Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
