Job/Position Main Responsibilities
- This position is primarily 80% rubber/plastic press operator. The other 20 percent of the time will be doing plastic and rubber processing.
- Know how to use all equipment in the Prototype Lab efficiently.
- Will be expected to help Product Development Technicians whenever necessary.
- A Prototype Lab Technician will be given a primary area of responsibility in the lab: Shipping, Molding, Plastics, Cementing or Inventory.
- Computer work, as needed
- Knowledge and practice of Hutchinson's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.

- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with Engineering, R&D validation and stimulation, prototype, and other plant and office personnel. Must have working knowledge of computer software, mechanical devices, and technical applications. Must understand mechanics, different approaches, and the use of software in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic level math skills.
- Basic level computer skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and process several abstract and concrete variables. Must be able to assess reasonableness of the analysis performed.

- The employee will be in a shared office (cubicle) environment. There may be occasions where the employee will have tasks to perform in a Laboratory environment and a Manufacturing environment, where Personal Protective Equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses and Safety Shoes are required.
