About The Role:

Student Life provides a range of support services to students at UC. As part of the Higher Education Continuity Guarantee (HECG) program, we are recruiting for an empathetic and experienced Student Wellbeing Coordinator, Financial Support to join our Student Wellbeing and Support team for a 3-year contract. This role is instrumental in designing, delivering, and evaluating financial support programs that improve the student experience and contribute to their success and continuity of their degree journey.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provision of financial aid, support, advice and referrals for UC students including undertaking financial needs assessments & aiding students with budgeting, scholarship applications, and life skills development.
  • Providing frontline guidance, advice and support to students on financial wellbeing matters.
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of sector-wide financial support initiatives, with a focus on identified equity groups.
  • Overseeing the administration of the wellbeing financial support programs and maintenance of accurate records and data for reporting purposes.

About You:

To be successful, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals with their wellbeing, financial counselling, and/or in the community services sector is essential
  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, or relevant field would be advantageous.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated, with a strong commitment to a holistic approach to wellbeing.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport with an engaging communication style and providing support across diverse communities.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with experience in program coordination and data management.

As this is a student facing role, the work is required to be on campus.
