Purpose Of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
This is an opportunity for a highly organized and energetic student to be part of a vibrant, fun campus office and interact with professors, students, and campus staff and administrators. This student employee will fill an office assistant position that will assist with answering the phone, scheduling and setting up meetings, various administrative tasks, event planning, managing web content, and will serve as the first point of contact when entering the office. This person will also assist the Coordinator of National Scholarships and Fellowships with various administrative tasks and projects as requested.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the main greeter in the O’Kelly Vice Provosts suite. Guests and visitors in our office include faculty, students, administrators, and UND staff. -Direct guests to appropriate offices or waiting area
- Direct guests to wait for their appointment time, or prompt to schedule an appointment if they do not have one
- Complete a variety of administrator-assigned tasks as needed, including taking phone calls and ensuring proper follow-up, scanning, filing, placing phone calls, running errands, scheduling meetings, setting up meeting rooms for remote attendees, Excel and Word processing, planning events, and maintaining office supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the office suite and ensure the office remains presentable and tidy at all times.
- Taking out the garbage, vacuuming floors, dusting, cleaning the microwave, cleaning and stocking the refrigerator, etc., as needed.
- Receive mail and package deliveries for office employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
- Past leadership experience or involvement in co-curricular activities in school or the community
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations effectively
- Ability to always uphold the utmost confidentiality and professionalism
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Consistent follow-through on tasks
- Self-motivated
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
