Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor Position delivers high quality software through the execution of quality assurance (QA) processes and procedures, and supervises the daily operations of the Quality Assurance Team, making sure these process and procedures are being followed. This position will contribute towards all phases of Quality Assurance testing in WIC Projects standardizing test processes, implementing best practices high-quality deliverables with a highly skilled and experienced team of professionals.

Job Duties:

Represent the testing team by collaborating with Project Manager, product owners and developers to plan test schedule and strategies; coordinating releases activities; Root cause analysis and resolving issues; discussing test results with stake holders; Communicates any obstacles to raise awareness and avoid project impediments and overall project timeline disruption.

Perform hands-on testing including but not limited to Functional (Smoke, System, System Integration, Regression, Data base, E2E, User Acceptance), Non-Functional (Performance Testing, Load Testing, Security, Accessibility), Automation testing and Bug Fix validation; Provide technical and functional production support to resolve production issues.


Review and analyze the business requirements and technical designs related to testing requirements in order to create extensive, detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans which includes creating, maintaining manual/automation test scripts, test data, test results and test metrics (progress and quality). Review bugs; Monitor and report progress against test plans and project plans, raise risks/problems and work to resolve.

Create and maintain test plans, test suites, manual/automation test scripts, and log and track all testing artifacts inside ADO.

Supervise the staff by defining and establishing schedules, strategies, setting priorities, providing support/direction on operational procedures, troubleshooting techniques and dealing with administrative issues as needed.

Assign various tasks to the QA team based on skill-set. Train staff on operational procedures, testing processes, best practices to follow and troubleshooting techniques.

Contribute towards standardizing test processes, implementing best practices to ensure high-quality software delivery with a highly skilled and experienced team of professionals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Thorough knowledge of WIC program and all softwared used in projects. Customer service principles and processes knowledge. Strong knowledge of backend database structure. Web-based applications knowledge. Common third-party software applications knowledge. Knowledge of internally developed custom applications. Selective Preference(s):

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Business, Math, Science, or Engineering field, plus 3 - 10 years of experience in quality assurance testing, analysis, manual/functional/automation testing high performing web based business focused applications and systems (or equivalent experience) Any combination of training and experience that meet the knowledge,skills, and abilities (KSAs); typical ways KSAs are obtained may include but are not limited to: relevant degree from an accredited college or university, coursework and work experience relevant to the assignment.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Must possess a valid level one fingerprint clearance card issues pursuant to A.R.S. §36-113. Any QA, Engineering, Agile or Scrum Certifications nice to have.
