How you’ll make an impact in this role
As a People & Culture Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and managers, providing strategic and operational HR support across your portfolio. You’ll partner closely with executives and the broader People & Culture team to deliver initiatives that enhance employee engagement, development, and retention, while ensuring alignment with Cabrini’s mission and values.

Some of the key responsibilities include the following:

  • Building strong partnerships with executives and people managers, influencing decision-making on People & Culture strategies and initiatives.
  • Providing expert advice on change management, organisational police and employee relations matters such as performance, conflict resolution and disputes.
  • Coaching and developing leaders to strengthen capability, manage risk, and promote best practice in people management.
  • Leading or supporting People & Culture projects and programs, including culture surveys, performance reviews, recognition, wellbeing, learning, EA negotiations, and HRIS initiatives.
  • Delivering workplace training and maintaining a visible presence across Cabrini campuses to support managers and staff.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, risk management, and reporting to support organisational objectives.

What You’Ll Bring

  • Strong relationship-building, communication, influencing and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly.
  • Proven HR experience in a Business Partner or senior HR generalist role within a medium to large organisation.
  • Expertise in employee relations, case management, workplace investigations, performance management, and change management.
  • Sound knowledge of ER/IR legislation, industrial instruments, and the full employee lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering HR projects, workforce planning, and coaching managers to build capability.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, case management systems and Microsoft Office applications, with flexibility to work across multiple Cabrini sites.

Highly Regarded

  • Relevant tertiary or training qualifications.
  • Experience in unionised environments, conciliation processes, and knowledge of the Victorian health system.
