Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people

Roster: 7D7N14R FIFO ex Perth 

Fortescue is seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our Iron Bridge Process Plant team. This role is critical in leading a team of Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers to ensure plant reliability, safe operations, and achievement of production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of mechanical tradespeople.
  • Ensure plant availability by effectively managing breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and work plans.
  • Oversee safety performance and compliance with statutory and company requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Electrical teams) and external vendors to achieve operational outcomes.
  • Deliver effective weekly plans, shutdown compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive training, development, and engagement of team members to align with business objectives.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Mechanical Trade qualification or Engineering degree (essential).
  • Significant experience in fixed plant maintenance and supervision.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams in high-performance environments.
  • Sound knowledge of safety systems, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
