We are currently seeking a IT Senior Manager - Google Workspace Consultant to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).
Job Description: Google Workspace Consultant (5–8 Years Experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Google Workspace Engineer with 5–8 years of proven expertise in managing, implementing, and supporting Google Workspace environments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical hands-on skills, experience in enterprise migrations, security configuration, automation, and a solid background in pre-sales solutioning. This role requires collaboration with clients, internal technical teams, and sales stakeholders to design, present, and deliver modern collaboration solutions on Google Workspace.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery
- Design, deploy, and manage Google Workspace solutions across Gmail, Drive, Meet, Calendar, and Chat.
- Implement and maintain security, compliance, and identity management policies.
- Conduct enterprise migrations from Microsoft 365, Exchange, or legacy email platforms to Google Workspace.
- Develop scripts (Google Apps Script, Python, PowerShell) and leverage APIs to automate workflows and administration tasks.
- Integrate Google Workspace with identity providers, SSO, and hybrid environments.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide Tier 3 support for escalations.
- Maintain knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) integration opportunities.
Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to understand client requirements and business goals.
- Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, and solution assessments with prospective clients.
- Design solution architectures, create proposals, and deliver proof-of-concept (POC) or demo environments.
- Prepare and present technical presentations, RFP responses, and client workshops.
- Estimate project effort, scope, and timelines in collaboration with delivery teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by highlighting best practices, security standards, and productivity enhancements using Google Workspace.
Client Engagement & Enablement
- Lead client conversations on collaboration strategy, governance, and change management.
- Provide user adoption strategies and conduct training sessions as required.
- Build long-term client relationships by proactively identifying upsell opportunities and promoting advanced Workspace features.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in IT, with at least 4+ years focused on Google Workspace administration and engineering.
- Strong expertise in user, group, and OU management, security and compliance configurations, and email routing policies.
- Hands-on experience with migration tools (e.g., Google Workspace Migrate, BitTitan, CloudM, Quest).
- Proficiency with Google Apps Script, Python, or PowerShell for automation.
- Experience integrating Workspace with Active Directory, SAML/SSO, and identity providers (Okta, Azure AD, Ping).
- In-depth knowledge of email security standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and DLP policies.
- Pre-sales experience including requirements gathering, solution design, proposal development, and client presentations.
- Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a client-facing role, coordinating between technical and business teams.
Optional / Nice-to-Have Skills (Microsoft 365 & Hybrid Environments)
- Administration experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune).
- Familiarity with Exchange Server (on-premises) and hybrid migration scenarios.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and compliance features (DLP, retention policies, Conditional Access).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for Office 365 administration and automation.
- Migration experience between M365 ↔ Google Workspace using third-party tools (e.g., BitTitan, CloudM, Quest).
- Understanding of Azure Active Directory and identity federation in hybrid setups.
- Ability to advise clients on coexistence strategies (e.g., split-domain, staged migrations).
- Google Workspace Administrator Certification, Digital Leader, Generative AI leader
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate (optional)
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator / Teams Administrator (optional)
- General certifications in security, cloud, or identity management (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA, GCP)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into business-friendly language.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams.
