What is the job about? 

Grundfos is seeking a dynamic and strategic HR leader to serve as Head of Country & Plant HR, USA—an influential role based in Brookshire, Texas. This position is central to driving the company’s “One Country Approach” and embedding the Grundfos One Culture across all U.S. operations. Acting as a cultural ambassador and trusted advisor, the Head of Country & Plant HR will collaborate closely with the USA Country President, global and local plant leaders, and employees nationwide to foster alignment, transparency, and a unified HR strategy. The role involves shaping and deploying HR policies and processes that reflect global standards while ensuring compliance with U.S. regulations. With a strong focus on the full employee life cycle from onboarding to development, the successful candidate will lead and develop Plant HR Partners, US HR Compliance and champion initiatives that make Grundfos a Great Place to Work. This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Head of Business HR and will operate out of the Brookshire, TX facility on a hybrid schedule- 3 days per week in office.  Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

Your Main Responsibilities:

 USA Country-Level Leadership (25%)

  • Ensure full compliance with U.S. labor laws and local employment regulations.
  • Act as company representative in resolving compliance-related complaints.
  • Prepare the organization for internal and external HR audits and respond to labor authority inquiries.
  • Handle non-compliance cases and embed company values in all compliance practices.
  • Maintain oversight of legal cases, associated risks, and costs.
  • Organize mandatory corporate compliance training at the country level.

HR Policies & Processes (15%)

  • Design, implement, and maintain local HR policies aligned with Group standards and legal requirements.
  • Lead deployment and harmonization of HR processes across the country.
  • Translate global HR policies into actionable local initiatives.
  • Champion global HR systems, processes, and delivery models.
  • Labor Relations (15%)
  • Oversee labor relations through a dedicated specialist, maintaining ultimate accountability.
  • Support the Country President in union negotiations, collective agreements, and workforce representation.
  • Advise managers and HRBPs on legal matters, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
  • Prevent employment law issues through proactive education and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance during organizational changes and footprint activities.
  • People & Culture (20%)
  • Drive the One Grundfos Culture and support DE&I, mental wellbeing, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Align employment conditions across the country and manage local vendor relationships.
  • Act as the HR point of contact for Group initiatives at the country level.
  • Lead the Country Forum alongside the Country President.
  • Enhance employee experience through strategic initiatives and leadership development.

Plant HR Leadership (25%)

  • Lead and develop Plant HR Partners to support plant/APU leaders in translating business needs into HR plans.
  • Prepare plants for future workforce needs through strategic planning and agile development.
  • Deploy the “People” pillar of the Grundfos Production System and manage associated KPIs.
  • Support leadership development, succession planning, and team composition at the shopfloor level.
  • Drive talent acquisition, workforce planning, and local branding in collaboration with global TA.
  • Ensure competitive compensation structures and compliance with labor and social standards.
  • Support annual HR cycles including PDD, merit review, and people review.
  • Build and lead high-performing HR teams across country and plant levels.

Your Background

We Imagine That You Have:

  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role or as an HR Business Partner within a production or manufacturing environment
  • Strong HR generalist experience with a proven ability to manage complex HR functions across multiple sites
  • The ability to operate daily out of the Brookshire, Texas site on a hybrid function, 3 days in office.
  • A willingness to travel up to 20% if necessary. As a result, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
