Position desctiption
The Vice President, Leggett Operating System will be responsible for driving the development and deployment of the Leggett Operating System (LOS) across the corporation and promoting a company-wide culture of operational excellence. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the design of the LOS and will partner closely with executive leadership, business unit and corporate functional leaders to deliver measurable improvements in productivity and growth aligned with company strategy.
As the Vice President, Leggett Operating System, you will:
- Lead the design, implementation and sustainment of LOS, including best-in-class processes, tools and methodologies to drive growth, reduce waste and optimize quality.
- Champion lean principles and promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Develop and deliver training programs to build LOS capabilities across all levels of the organization.
- Partner with business leaders to identify and execute high-impact initiatives that align with strategic priorities.
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor progress and ensure accountability.
- Mentor and develop a pipeline of LOS practitioners and leaders across the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- 1-2 direct reports initially with additional matrixed reports positioned throughout business units as the LOS matures.
To Be Successful, You'Ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 15 years’ experience, including leadership roles in operations or business transformation.
- Proven experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience leading a corporate business system office in a global company with multiple subsidiaries or lines of business is preferred.
Certifications, licences and registrations
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification preferred.

- Proven change agent with strong leadership presence, capable of inspiring, developing, and influencing all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.
- Proven ability to drive results from the plant floor to the C-Suite.

- High degree of resilience, adaptability, and cultural awareness in a global setting.
- Passion for building a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
