In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, we are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in the Aubury Wodonga Military Area.

About The Role

Ventia is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis.  This role is ideal for ideal for a passionate and driven Ground Supervisor who excels at motivating teams to maintain lawns, grounds, and landscape assets in pristine condition. 

• Oversee horticultural, turf and landscape maintenance in various open space projects, ensuring environmental sustainability and best practices are followed 
• Ensure safety and compliance across all teams and projects. 
• Conduct site assessments, inspecting gardens and parks, generating reports, evaluating performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Lead, mentor, manage rosters and motivate a team of skilled professionals in the field of open space management. 
• Ensure regular preventative maintenance is conducted on plant and equipment to keep them in optimal working condition 
• Lead innovations that drive efficiency and performance. 

About You

• Expertise in horticulture, turf management and landscape maintenance techniques. 
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and inspire teams. 
• Strong work ethic with excellent time management abilities to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. 
• Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 
• Current Australian drivers licence. (Advantageous). 
• Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police.
