About The Role:

As a key member of our finance team, you will provide expert guidance on how to apply complex accounting rules. Your expertise will ensure our financial practices are fully compliant with both corporate (US GAAP) and local statutory (VEN-NIF) standards. You will be responsible for guaranteeing the accuracy of our financial records and will work collaboratively to help prepare our corporate and local financial statements

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure all accounting activities comply with corporate (US GAAP) and statutory (VEN-NIF) accounting principles.
• Perform and oversee the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and bank statements, diligently investigating and resolving any pending items.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, promptly addressing and resolving all inquiries related to financial statements.
• Collaborate closely with local and regional teams to ensure process alignment and timely issue resolution.
• Play a key role in the preparation and translation of statutory financial statements into the functional currency.
• Conduct the revaluation of foreign currency-denominated accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage the timely preparation and maintenance of all required SOX documentation.
• Periodically review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend necessary updates to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Execute core financial transactions related to bank records, investments, and loans.
• Provide support and accurate responses to financial inquiries from the local business.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Accounting.
• 1-3 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and local IFRS (VEN-NIF).
• Intermediate to Advanced English (Written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to manage people and multiple priorities in line with established guidelines.
• SAP experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets is required.
• Experience with collaborative tools (e.g., Google Workspace, MS Teams).
