Location: Peace River, AB

What You’Ll Be Doing:

Health, Safety & Environment
Training
Administrative:
- Act as the day-to-day HSE point of contact for employees.
- Assist with incident investigations within scope of role.
- Conduct facility inspections to proactively seek out unsafe hazards and behaviors.
- Act as a Point of Contact for OHS inspections.
- Respond to and serve as a contact in the event of any serious incidents at company location.
- Distribute PPE to employees.
- Develop a thorough understanding of HSE policies and procedures.
- Represent HSE in various meetings onsite.
- Ensure operational compliance with local, provincial, and OHS rules and regulations.
- Work with HSE Compliance Specialist to ensure all regulatory documents are current.
- Ensure engagement in the HSE programs.
- Assists in performing safety audits.
- Coordinate and conduct safety meetings.
- Distribute and record weekly Took Box Talk training material.
- Follow up on any missing training for employees.
- Coordinate and participate in 3rd party HSE training as appropriate.
- Conduct Site Specific Training.
- Train employees on use of PPE.
- Conduct New Miner Training, in conjunction with US HSE Team.
- Create and update various spreadsheets to track data using Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain employee HSE files for Peace River (both electronic and physical files).
- Input data into HSE database
- Record meeting minutes and file/distribute appropriately.
- Compile reports from various sources and interpret data.
- Oversee PPE inventory levels.
- Order HSE supplies within defined guidelines.
- Update training records.
- Distribute HSE communication material.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Who We’Re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OHS, CRSP, or similar) are a plus.
- Minimum of [5-10] years of experience in workplace safety or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to analyze data and create actionable safety improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
