Team Manager - Food Manufacturing

Job Description

As the  Team Manager at Youfoodz, you'll be the driving force behind successfully delivering the production plan. This critical role is all about leading, developing, and inspiring your team to achieve production schedules while championing a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

This role is based in Karawatha, Brisbane and reports to the Low Risk/High Risk Production Manager. Within this role you will directly manage Process Workers, Senior Process Workers, and Team Leaders.

You Will…

• Lead, coach, and mentor your team, providing direction to ensure goals and production targets are met.
• Drive positive change, build capability, and model positive behaviour consistent with Youfoodz values to foster a high-performance culture.
• Deliver the Youfoodz manufacturing plan, ensuring full compliance with safety, quality, cost, and plan attainment standards.
• Implement manufacturing improvement plans focused on line efficiencies and productivity.
• Support plans to minimise process waste through accurate recording and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure your team adheres to all site and company food safety policies and procedures.
• Support the implementation and development of safety, hygiene, and environmental programs.

You Have…

• A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years' experience in leading or managing large operational teams or frontline leaders.
• A strong understanding of  WH&S, HACCP, and general food manufacturing compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated success in improving operational performance (efficiency, waste, labour utilisation).
• A background in an FMCG or high-volume manufacturing environment is desirable.
