Position Overview
The Test Engineer will be responsible for establishing and executing test procedures to support New Product Introduction (NPI), Qualification, and Safety of Flight programs. This role involves hands-on testing of aerospace electronic control units and rotating machines, along with the design and fabrication of supporting test setups. The engineer will also perform board-level testing of subassemblies, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and perform tests during prototype and qualification phases of product development.
  • Develop and execute test systems to collect and analyze digital data.
  • Evaluate test results, validate findings, and identify necessary adjustments to meet product requirements.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to create and refine test methods that ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct environmental, developmental, and qualification testing on electrical generators and control units.
  • Set up, modify, and maintain test equipment, fixtures, control circuits, and instrumentation.
  • Program test computers to control test processes and record data.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot test failures, recommending corrective actions.
  • Draft clear, detailed technical reports, test procedures, and instructions.
  • Partner with facility management to assess and modify infrastructure for new test equipment installations.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards while promoting a strong safety culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, with at least 4 years of relevant experience; or
  • Associate’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, with at least 6 years of related work experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control regulations (8 USC 1324b(a)(3)).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent tools for preparing reports and documentation.
  • Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace power generation development and testing.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and oil-cooled systems.

Salary Range: $90,000115,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
