We are seeking an experienced Lead Security Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and intercom systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of security technicians on system installations, upgrades, and service calls.
- Install, program, test, and maintain security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, etc.).
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure timely and accurate installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior technicians.
- Participate in system design and layout as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in electronic security systems installation and service.
- Proven experience leading a team or supervising field projects.
- Knowledge of major security system platforms (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Honeywell, Bosch, Axis, Vivotek, Vicon, Hanwha, Avigilon, etc.).
- Strong understanding of networking and low-voltage wiring.
- Ability to install and terminate patch panels.
- Strong understanding of access control installation. Ability to install maglocks, strikes, REX devices, terminating all lines on correct ports on controller panels.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- OSHA 30 plus 10hr SST training required.
- Lift Certification required.
Working Conditions:
- Travel to client sites required (including but not limited to Texas, Florida, Ohio, California).
- Must be able to work in various environments, including construction sites and rooftops.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
