Essential Functions:
Management:
• Oversee the daily fiscal operations achieving the department's goals and objectives
• Manage outsourced functions
• Perform thorough preparation and management of all internal and external audits (Financial, Retirement
• Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction- processing operations, and policies and procedures.
• Effectively delegate authority to staff that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
• Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable
• Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
• Maintain the chart of accounts
• Maintain an orderly electronic accounting filing system
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
• Assist with the budget process and reforecasting
• Prepare reports for the Chief Financial Officer as needed
Reporting:
• Ensure timely and complete financial statements and budget analysis; accounting information is input accurately and timely
• Reconcile and correct general/subsidiary ledger accounts
• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report
• Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
• Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
• Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
• Completion of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
• Oversee grants management
• Oversee Provide financial analyses, for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
Compliance
Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Supervisory Responsibilities:
3+ years of management experience
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from accredited or business administration or
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company, division of a larger company, and/or Federally Qualified Health Center
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
• SAGE Intacct experience preferred
• Health and Human Services Payment Management System
• Electronic Handbook experience preferred
• OHHS PMS experience
• Experience managing multiple corporations
• Preference will be given to Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant
