Qualifications
We are seeking a dynamic Manager, Project Governance and Continuous Improvement to join our team. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of best-practice engineering and project management processes within Project Delivery Framework (PDF). You will work closely with leadership, cross-functional teams, and our major utility client to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of services aligned with both CIMA+ and client requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Management System:
- Provide leadership across functional groups to ensure delivery practices align with Project Management System and are consistently applied
- Collaborate with leadership to prioritize initiatives, and with working committees to advance the PDF and continuous improvement initiatives
- Design and maintain systems, procedures, and templates that support engineering and project delivery (e.g., quality control, engineering, project management, subconsultant management, safety management, Onboarding)
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering, project delivery, and contract management workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and manage tools that support contract oversight, including resource forecasting
- Lead the rollout of new processes, including communication, training, and project support
- Integrate CIMA+’s ISO Quality Management System with contract-specific quality requirements
Contract Management:
- Work with the CIMA+ Directors to foster relationship and respond to client requests
- Coordinate regular relationship development meetings across project delivery and engineering teams
- Prepare and deliver performance, status, and risk reports for senior management and clients
- Present materials the Client and facilitate meetings to support collaboration and joint continuous improvement
- Participate in internal strategic discussions and support the implementation of key initiatives
- Capture lessons learned and share best practices to strengthen organizational maturity
- Coordinate and prepare documentation for client audits, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards
Onboarding And Learning Development:
- Develop and oversee onboarding and training programs to enhance delivery capabilities for new and existing staff
- Deliver workshops and training sessions to strengthen project execution skills and encourage consistency
- Maintain training materials, resource libraries, and training records to support staff development and client audits
- Monitor time and budgets allocated for training and administrative tasks
Additional Information
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Project Management, Management Consulting, Business Operations, or Change Management, preferably experience in engineering consulting or utilities sector
- Demonstrated experience leading the development and implementation of strategic initiatives in a complex organization and dynamic environments
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple stakeholders
- Extremely well organized, collaborative, proactive and results-driven
- Familiarity with BC Hydro’s Project and Portfolio Management System (PPM) Information Centre, Program and Contract Management (PCM) Information Centre, and Engineering and Design Standards is considered an asset.
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset

The expected salary for this position is from $115,000 to $140,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
