Job Description

Job Purpose

To support procurement and contract management activities within Global Offshore Wind UK, ensuring the prompt and efficient delivery of all Offshore Wind UK procurement and contracts requirements in compliance with Masdar policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

Implementation of procurement processes and activities

  • Monitor compliance with procurement policies, procedures and systems and manage reporting mechanisms and logistics systems and procedures.
  • Manage the post-bid procurement process and negotiations with the shortlisted suppliers.

Procurement administration and management

  • Support the development of all Devex contracts e.g. Owners Engineer, Independent Engineer, Inspection agreements, expeditor, etc.
  • Support contract management following contract execution from contractual and commercial perspectives.
  • Review and manage suppliers with related official communications and support delivery/execution teams in managing the supplier contracts.
  • Perform procurement activities in relation to offshore wind project development.
  • Identify and qualify potential suppliers locally and internationally in coordination with the development teams.
  • Prepare and issue the Request for Proposals for Devex requirements, evaluate the offers, perform commercial negotiations with the suppliers, select the preferred supplier in conjunction with the development/construction team and finalize the contractual documents.

Contract Management

  • Manage the contracts to support project requirements as applicable.
  • Support the contract delivery process and anticipate any expedition needed based on the project timelines.

Internal customer service and communication

  • Support effective communication and consultation between with head office procurement and internal customers.
  • Contribute to the deliverables, preparation of bids/ acquisitions, the progress reports.

Management of stakeholders and third party service providers

  • Ensure relationships with service level providers are managed smoothly and effectively in a way that guarantees that Masdar is provided with quality and timely services, in line with relevant service level agreements.
  • As and when required by management, manage key relationships/negotiations with relevant internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure the negotiation and agreement of favourable deals and agreements that safeguard Masdar’s best interests while ensuring the delivery of necessary needs/goals.

Continuous improvement of policies, systems and processes

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of unit systems, policies and procedures covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled while ensuring that policies and procedures support the delivery of the strategy.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • MCIPS qualification or solid relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or finance or another related field

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in contracts and purchasing
  • Renewable Energy experience is advantageous but not essential.
