We’re growing and are looking to add an IT Operations Coordinator to our fast-paced and customer-oriented People & Culture team.

  • Location: Chicago (3x a week on-site)
  • Employment type: Full-time employee

Weekly hours: 40hrs

  • Immediate Responsibilities (Day 1 – 3 months)
  • These are the core, foundational tasks you’ll take on right away:
  • Support & Requests – Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, including installations, upgrades, and technical support for hardware/software, ensuring quick and effective assistance.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding – Manage IT aspects of team member lifecycle, including hardware/software setup, provisioning, and collection.
  • IT Queue Management – Monitor and resolve tickets, providing a seamless support experience.
  • Auditing & Tracking – Track software utilization, licensing, and adoption to maintain accurate records.
  • Chicago Office Support – Provide hands-on technical support for the office environment, including equipment setup, connectivity, and troubleshooting.
  • Vendor Interaction (Basic) – Handle straightforward vendor requests (hardware orders, license renewals, etc.).
  • Documentation & Enablement – Maintain clear internal documentation and knowledge base articles to empower team members.

Advanced Responsibilities (3 months and beyond)

  • As you grow into the role and gain deeper knowledge of our systems, you’ll take ownership of more complex initiatives:
  • MDM & EDR Management – Manage and optimize Mobile Device Management (Kandji, Drivestrike) and Endpoint Detection & Response systems (SentinelOne) for secure, compliant device operations.
  • Process Optimization & Automation – Identify recurring IT issues and requests, and proactively design automations (via SSO/SCIM, Trelica, Zapier) to improve efficiency and scale support.
  • Risk Management & Security Practices – Partner with the Security team to enhance controls around vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and SOC2 compliance.
  • Partnership & Advisory – Work with department leaders to understand IT needs, recommend solutions, and strengthen operational efficiency.
  • Vendor Management (Strategic) – Build strong vendor relationships, oversee renewals, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Build & Innovate – Lead IT Ops roadmap projects, including major deployments, new system implementations, and process redesigns.
  • Education & Team Enablement – Run educational sessions (e.g., Slack “tech-talks”), helping team members maximize available tools and adopt new functionalities.
