Description Summary:

The Vice President, Sales is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy to achieve revenue growth, market expansion, and customer retention goals. This role involves overseeing a dynamic sales team, implementing data-driven sales processes, and building strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. Working closely with the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, the Vice President, Sales ensures alignment between sales, marketing, and organizational objectives.

Essential Duties:

The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to cooperate fully with their supervisor’s requests for additional or altered duties. 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve organizational revenue and market share goals.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Set clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to team members.
  • Establish and refine sales processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and report key sales metrics, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Lead the development of sales forecasts, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-value clients, key accounts, and strategic partners.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement and problem resolution.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align campaigns, messaging, and lead generation efforts with sales objectives.
  • Work closely with revenue/sales operations to ensure proper territory assignments, establish sales quotas, and monitor success against quota for each product, each regional sales executive, and each marketing initiative.
  • Collaborate with product development and customer success teams to ensure customer needs are met.

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior sales management role.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and driving market growth in a competitive environment.
  • Experience managing diverse teams and collaborating across departments.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and make data-driven decisions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in the office regularly, or pivot to working at home should emergency situations arise.
  • Ability to attend work per assigned schedule and attend meetings with excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to lift and move light to moderate items occasionally without reasonable accommodation
