As a key member of the General Ledger Accounting team, this role plays a critical part in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The position is highly collaborative, requiring close partnership with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant results.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting operations, with demonstrated success in designing and implementing efficient processes. A solid understanding of technical accounting principles and the ability to apply them in practice. This leader will also be skilled in building, coaching, and inspiring a high-performing team to achieve excellence.
In addition, the candidate should have experience leveraging automation and AI tools to streamline accounting processes, and a strong interest in learning and applying new technologies to drive efficiency and innovation.
This role reports directly to the Director of Accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of three.
- Review journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Safeguard the integrity of key processes by evaluating systems, transaction flows, and internal controls, and recommending improvements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP requirements and adherence to SOX controls.
- Serve as a primary liaison with internal and external auditors, providing documentation and support for quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Technical Accounting & Reporting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Champion the adoption of automation and AI technologies to streamline accounting processes, leading initiatives that enhance scalability, efficiency, and accuracy across the close and reporting cycle.

- 8+ years of experience in auditing at public accounting firms and/or in accounting roles within public companies (tech industry experience preferred).
- 3+ years of people management experience, with a proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience leveraging automation and AI tools to optimize accounting processes
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA is required
- Experience with NetSuite or Oracle is preferred
- Experience with Coupa and Blackline is a plus
