The Role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you should be comfortable reading and evaluating requirements as well as writing test cases to evaluate acceptance criteria and assure stable software solutions pre-release. We are looking for someone that is comfortable working in a cross-functional Agile environment and will ensure that each release adheres to company standards and meets the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a knowledge of Smoke, UI, Component, API and E2E testing
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
• Create manual test cases
• Create automation test cases
• Document and report bugs
• Ensure products meet requirements and maintain standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in computer science, engineering, or information technology, or 3+ years of work history that demonstrates proficiency in software testing
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills (this person will be working with team members based in Costa Rica and the US and must have verbal and written fluency in English) 
• Highly organized with a proactive and results-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Working knowledge of the software development process and data/database technologies (SQL, Access)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agro-Culture and ERP software
• Experience using Jira and Zephyr
• Experience with Test Automation tools like Selenium, Mabl or TestComplete
