About The Team

At DoorDash, our mission is to grow and empower local economies. We believe that brand and creativity play a critical role in making that mission real for every customer, merchant, and dasher we serve. The Brand & Creative team plays a critical role in achieving that mission by earning an outsized share of people’s attention and engagement. We are not here to blend in, but to stand out:  to spark conversations, shape culture, earn attention and deepen connections.

We are a team of strategists, creatives, producers, marketers, and operators working together to turn business objectives into bold, effective, and emotionally resonant creative. We operate at the intersection of short-term impact and long-term brand building, ensuring every execution drives immediate results while strengthening how people feel about DoorDash over time. We believe that creativity is a business tool, and that when it's applied with focus, it drives not just awareness, but growth. This team owns the development, delivery, and evolution of the brand across every touchpoint, from major campaigns to always-on content.

About The Role

The Business Lead role plays a mission-critical role at DoorDash, operating as a strategic integrator at the center of Brand & Creative. This role is where business strategy, brand thinking, creative execution, and cross-functional alignment converge. Reporting into the Head of Brand & Creative Operations, you will serve as a partner to Integrated Marketing, Brand Strategy, and Creative, ensuring our campaigns are audience-first, business-aligned, and built to deliver results.

What You’Ll Do

  • Act as the Brand & Creative lead for your assigned line of business and/or audience, partnering closely with Integrated Marketing, Brand Strategy, Creative, and Channel owners to drive campaign strategy and execution
  • Serve as the connective tissue across Brand, Social, Influencer, Partnerships, Creative, and Production — ensuring the right teams are engaged at the right moments
  • Lead large Brand & Creative campaign initiatives end-to-end, partnering with internal creative and external creative agency teams
  • Maintain creative alignment to the brief throughout execution, ensuring the work remains on-brand, on-brief, and built to deliver business results
  • Establish clear roles, working models, and communication paths across internal and external partners, in partnership with Creative Operations
  • Scope and staff campaigns in partnership with Resourcing Operations — identifying level of effort, team needs, and collaboration requirements
  • Partner with Creative Operations to ensure operational readiness, milestone clarity, and coordination at each stage of execution
  • Own and manage non-working production budgets, inclusive of agency fees and production costs; map financial planning to project scope and quality expectations
  • Support strategic agency planning and ensure partner performance is evaluated and optimized regularly
  • Lead confidently across multiple projects with varying levels of visibility, navigating concurrent timelines, cross-functional inputs, and evolving priorities
  • Use strong business acumen and creative judgment to prioritize the highest-impact work, aligning efforts to brand growth and business objectives
  • Operate as a brand steward and creative advocate, raising the bar for craft, clarity, and cohesion in every execution
  • Bring curiosity, flexibility, and a bias for action – adapting quickly, collaborating generously, and continually striving to make the work (and how we work) better

Who You Are

  • A strong operator with a strategist’s mind and a marketer’s instincts
  • A trusted partner who can speak both brand and business fluently
  • Comfortable owning ambiguity and turning fuzzy asks into structured, actionable plans
  • Obsessed with quality, clarity, and impact — not just delivery
  • Able to zoom out to the business problem and zoom in to the tactical path forward

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, creative program management, or creative operations in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Proven track record of leading full-funnel campaigns across paid, owned, and earned surfaces
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, with experience driving highly ambitious, agile teams
  • Proven experience working with and managing multiple stakeholders in a complex environment; strong executive presence with effective communication skills
  • Experience working across creative and operational functions (e.g., with project managers, producers, strategists, designers, and copywriters)
  • Experience managing agency partners and production budgets at scale
  • Strong understanding of brand and business dynamics within a multi-vertical, platform-led company
