About The Role:Expression is seeking a mission-driven Endpoint Security Engineer to support the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the security and compliance of NTIA systems and endpoints, delivering vulnerability assessments, supporting Certification & Accreditation (C&A) processes, and aligning systems with federal cybersecurity mandates for various information systems. The position requires technical expertise in endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and secure information systems engineering in federal environments.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the engineer, maintenance, and monitoring endpoint security solutions to ensure compliance with federal security standards.
- Perform vulnerability and risk analyses of information systems and applications throughout the system development life cycle.
- Provide technical support for monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting of LAN, network devices, and endpoint systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine network and endpoint security issues to ensure system availability and security.
- Support Senior Engineers with C&A activities by preparing documentation, conducting assessments, and presenting findings to leadership.
- Assist with the evaluation and integration of hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment to meet security requirements.
- Install and maintain network operating systems, ensuring alignment with organizational and federal security policies.
- Conduct proactive vulnerability scanning and reporting to stakeholders, recommending remediation strategies.
- Contribute to SOC and cybersecurity team efforts by coordinating on incident escalations and security improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in endpoint security engineering, vulnerability management, or related cybersecurity functions.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN, endpoint security tools, and network operating systems.
- Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity compliance requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions.
- Extensive knowledge in various operating systems (e.g. Windows, macOS, Linux and Unix).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance required (U.S. Citizenship required)
Preferred Experience:
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials), Microsoft SC-900 / AZ-500, or AWS Security Certification.
- Prior experience supporting NTIA, Department of Commerce, or other federal civilian agencies.
- Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and C&A processes.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability management systems.
- Experience preparing technical documentation and presenting remediation strategies to federal leadership.
