Under the supervision of the Marketing Director, the Business Development Representative acts as an advisor to clients and is responsible for following up on and qualifying leads, as well as supporting prospecting and business development activities.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on inbound leads and qualify opportunities through exploratory calls;
- Carry out prospecting approaches (emails, LinkedIn, calls) and follow-ups with potential clients;
- Set up prospecting campaigns (calls, emails, LinkedIn, events);
- Participate in preparing and presenting contracts, pitch decks, and sales presentations, as well as reviewing and updating them;
- Coordinate and contribute to drafting responses to RFPs;
- Maintain proactive communication with prospects to move them through the sales funnel;
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align lead generation campaigns;
- Keep CRM information up to date regarding clients and opportunities;
- Provide administrative and operational support to the sales and marketing teams;
- Take part in events representing the company (trade shows, fairs, webinars, networking;
- Contribute to continuous improvement of sales and prospecting processes.
Required Skills
- Comfortable with phone calls and building new business relationships;
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and autonomy in managing tasks;
- Strong interest in sales, marketing, and business growth;
- Knowledge of a CRM such as HubSpot – an asset;
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a business development role
- Bilingual with excellent oral and written communication skills (French and English)
- Experience in a service company or technology industry – an asset
