The Sr. Director of Procurement will lead the execution and implementation of growth initiatives for our supply chain partners. This role will be responsible for developing Direct deal strategies, while utilizing 3rd party contracts to augment the buyers edge portfolio of extendable contracts.  This role will require building relationships both externally and internally and deliver growth and revenue goals. Specifically, to coordinate the BEP Brands purchases to optimize the revenue impact for BEP.  The role will facilitate and accelerate Buyer’s Edge Platform’s expansion of Direct deals and tiered programs for customers

While the ideal candidate can work from our Waltham, MA or Lake Worth, FL office with anticipated travel up to 30%. we are also accepting applications from remote candidates who are not located within a reasonable commuting distance. Your Impact:

  • Negotiating supplier agreements that deliver value to BEP Customers
  • Utilize product knowledge to ensure competitive pricing and contracts from suppliers
  • Managing supplier relationships to ensure compliance with agreement terms and conditions and to strategize new opportunities to deliver value to the organization.
  • Continuously evaluating and improving procurement practices, with a focus on sourcing; budgeting and forecasting supply chain revenue; analysis of spending to identify opportunities in non-contracted areas; and ensuring a strategic sourcing process for assigned categories.
  • Support integration of companies into the organization after acquisition. 
  • Coordinate Manufacturer Strategy Sessions
  • Develop strategies to convert Manufacturer direct contracts to BEP contracts.
  • Effectively communicate, manage, and track conversion opportunity activity results by consistently updating all sales reporting tools, according to required timelines.
  • Ensure regular Manufacturer and distributor Business Reviews are held
  • Engage with the supply chain team in Europe to support Global contracting
  • Support the increase of product coverage on contracts.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least (7) seven years’ experience in procurement.
  • Experience with supply chain procurement contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Broad knowledge and technical expertise in managed categories.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the year.
  • Experience in Indirect and/or Direct Spend. 
  • Leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of the foodservice industry is required.
  • Knowledge of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) is required.
  • Ability to think outside the box and challenge ideas.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • High level of prioritization with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret data
