Adventure Technology Services is a small IT contractor headquartered in Columbia, MD that provides high-level solutions to Federal Government customers and is always looking for high-quality professionals to join our team.
- Position Title: IT Engineer level 3
- Required Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland
Salary: $167,000$192,000
Description: Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, enhancement, troubleshooting and maintenance of complex and diverse IT systems to meet requirements. Works independently or part of a team on advanced systems analysis projects. Reviews and tests IT systems for adherence to requirements and documents test results. Resolves tickets and problem reports on specific technologies and hardware/software components to include COTS/GOTS products from the system level to individual hardware/software components. Recommends new technologies and processes for complex systems. Coordinates system installations and monitors equipment functioning. Creates ‘build docs’ for system administrators. Identifies system requirements for operations and security, and works with other engineers and staff to develop design and integrate components.
Experience with mobility services is required.
Education & Related Experience:
Twelve (12) years' experience as an IT Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity within the Federal Government is required.
(U) Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to ten (10) years of experience. Four (4) years of additional IT Engineer experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree, making the total experience requirement sixteen (16) years as an IT Engineer without a degree.

Overtime Statement:
40 hours is the standard workweek. Some programs may allow additional hours to be worked as needed. A limited number of programs have on-call requirements where compensation is provided for being engaged to wait. In all circumstances, technical employees will be paid for all time worked.
BONUS STATEMENT:
All billable employees are eligible to earn quarterly bonuses that are based on the number of hours worked for that period. This hourly requirement is roughly 92% of hours available to bill in a given quarter. Quarterly Hours Bonuses are paid out on the same payroll as the time worked in that prior quarter (typically 21 days after the quarter ends.)
