The Autodesk Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions (PDMS) portfolio connects the top floor to the shop floor and supply chain so customers can move seamlessly through each phase of a product's development lifecycle — from design and validation to production engineering, manufacturing execution, and operation — with a best-in-class Fusion Industry Cloud platform and market-leading specialist products.
Our team is working on a cutting-edge manufacturing platform by advancing automation capabilities that empower users to streamline their workflows and make smarter, data-driven decisions. As part of this effort, we develop add-ins for Autodesk Fusion that enhance digital manufacturing workflows and support sustainability-driven decision-making. These tools help optimize production processes, evaluate environmental impact, and improve material efficiency—contributing to more responsible and efficient manufacturing practices.
This role focuses on sustainable design and manufacturing. You will have the opportunity to work on an add-in that provides real-time environmental impact feedback during design and manufacturing without disrupting our customer’s workflow, saves operational costs and accelerates the creation of LCA report for compliance. This will require integrating different APIs from Autodesk Platform, and ensuring the data flows properly.
Location: Parsberg, Munich
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Add-Ins for Autodesk Fusion (Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS).
- Work with Autodesk Fusion’s API to access, manipulate and visualize manufacturing data.
- Provide feedback to Product Owners and Architects to improve the quality and completeness of the APIs.
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of the add-ins across platforms.
- Ensure add-in works properly before Fusion updates.
- Create documentation and tests to support maintainability and scalability.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to UX improvements.
- Work with extended teams including UX Design, Research, Product Management, and QA.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and backend logic.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and HTML/CSS.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementations.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Understanding of MCP
