- Instruction for our Spring Semester begins on January 5, 2026, and ends on April 26, 2026 – Final Course Grades are due on May 3, 2026
Course: Professional Responsibility in Justice
This course covers the many facets of what it means to be a responsible and effective public servant. It does this by examining the ethical principles that are required of those working as public servants, so they are prepared to make moral judgments in the execution of their duties. How to be culturally sensitive, maximize the public good, and appropriately use resources is covered. How to stand for principles and have courage to do what is right as a public servant, as well as proper communication is investigated.
What You Will Do:
- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
What You Will Bring:
- Preferred: Justice Studies OR
- OR Master’s in the above areas
- Exceptions may be granted to individuals with Master’s in any field possessing 18 graduate credits in Justice Studies and substantial work/teaching experience
- Legal Studies OR
- JD
